How to Format Metadata for Your Release (Titles, Artist Name, Features)
Making sure your metadata is clean and accurate is super important!
It helps your music look professional and ensures it shows up correctly on all platforms.
Here’s a quick guide to setting it up right on Jumpstr:
Song Titles
- Only include the actual track title — no extra info like artist names, version details, or emojis.
- If it’s a Radio Edit or other special version, you can select that separately (no need to add it manually in the title).
- If your song is a cover, don't include the original artist’s name in the title.
Keep it simple and clear!
Artist/Band Names
- Use only your own artist or band name.
- Don’t add other artists’ names unless you have their permission.
- No label names, "Presents...", or special shoutouts in the artist field.
- Please avoid using emojis in your artist name.
Featuring Artists
- If you have a featured artist or remixer, there’s a special field where you can add them — no need to squeeze them into the main title!
