How do I update metadata, artwork, collaborators, or audio after upload?

Need to make a change after uploading your release?

No problem! At Jumpstr, we understand things evolve — here’s how to make updates depending on what you need to change.

If your release hasn't been submitted yet:

You can freely edit everything:

  1. Go to your Dashboard
  2. Click on the draft release you want to update
  3. Edit the metadata, artwork, collaborators, or audio files as needed
  4. Once ready, hit Submit to send it for review

If your release has already been submitted or approved:

Some fields are locked once a release is in processing or live on platforms. But don’t worry — you still have options:

For minor changes (typos, artist roles, etc.):

Contact our support team through in-app chat or email. If the change is eligible, we can update it manually.

For major updates (new audio, new artwork, major metadata changes, new artists):

You’ll need to:

  1. Request takedown of the original release and wait for all DSPs (Spotify, Deezer, Meta, Soundcloud, Anghami, etc.) to remove the release in full
  2. Upload a new release with the updated info
  3. Submit it as a fresh release

Why? Most streaming platforms don’t allow major changes to already published releases, especially if audio or artwork is altered.
