Fixing Mistakes After Your Track Goes Live

Oops — noticed a typo or wrong info after your release went live? Don't stress! 🎶

Here’s what you can do on Jumpstr.

First, check the situation:

  • Minor mistake? (e.g., small formatting, spelling issue)
  • Bigger issue? (e.g., wrong audio file, wrong artist name)

Because your release is already live on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, etc., direct edits aren’t possible.

Instead, you’ll need to request a takedown and re-upload the corrected version.

How to fix it:

  1. Locate your release

Go to the Releases tab → Find the release you want to fix.

  2. Click “Takedown”

Inside your release page, you’ll see a big red Takedown button.

Click it to request removal from all platforms.

  3. Upload the corrected version

After requesting the takedown, simply upload your fixed release like you did before.

(Use the "Upload Music" button on your dashboard.)

Quick Tip:

  • It usually takes a few days for the takedown to complete across all platforms.
  • Then your corrected version can go live freshly, clean and polished!

Important:

If it's a serious error (wrong ownership info, wrong audio file), fixing it quickly helps avoid any future copyright or payment issues.
